The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (CPA) is an Act that provides for effective protection
of interests of consumers and as such makes provision for the establishment of consumer councils
and other authorities that help in settlement of consumer disputes and matters
connected therewith.
The CPA seeks to protect the interests of individual consumers by prescribing specific remedies to make good the
loss or damage caused to consumers as a result of unfair trade practices. With the new amendment in consumer
laws the old consumer protection act has been replaced with new Consumer Protection Act 2019 on July 20th,
2020, the new Consumer Protection Act, 2019 came into force in India, replacing
the previous enactment of 1986.
The new Act overhauls the administration and settlement of consumer disputes in India. It provides for
strict penalties, including jail terms for adulteration and for misleading advertisements. More importantly,
it now prescribes rules for the sale of goods through e-commerce. The
consumer is now truly the king.

I was working on the topic 'Silence Zones' and it was quite an in-depth and very vast research, always digging in new folds of law and their implementations
I have done quite a number of internships before but here topics given to us were very practical in nature, somehow related to day to day life. Also no work goes unappreciated and there is so much more than just an internship letter you receive in the end.

The internship eventually changed my path into a right one seriously, this is the first internship I worked during this lockdown. I don't think that research is the important thing to a law student until I experienced it. Also, the mentors who guided me were very polite and humble to us. After this internship I have also published many articles in various blogs, also I trained to write one research paper within 5_6 hours.
